Effective March 2009, due to significant growth in our two divisions, a decision was taken to split the original Digital Matter business into two separate companies. The embedded division was split out and a new company – Digital Matter Embedded (www.dmem.co.za) was formed. The original company remained and is now focussed purely on software application and product development.

We are now proud to announce that Saratoga Software (www.saratoga.co.za) has taken a 75% stake in Digital Matter. Saratoga is 50.1% owned by Sekunjalo Investments limited, a leading BEE company listed on the JSE. This deal as given Digital Matter access to a wealth of operational, tactical and strategic talent and has been entered into in line with our strategic policy of transformation and good corporate citizenship.

Digital Matter is proud to announce that we are now a Certified Level 2 BEE Contributor, and that we remain committed to continued development of all aspects of transformation across our business.
